New release by Harold Heath - Red Sky EP Evasive Records

With its tenth release, Evasive Digital is pleased to welcome Harold Heath to the roster. True to form, Harold offers up three quality Tech House tunes that are just simply bursting to be played to a rammed dancefloor this summer.

1.) Revealing a slightly more chilled side of Harold, Red Sky is a steady track featuring a funking rolling bassline, melodic chords, pads synths and strings aplenty, which all come together to create a Balearic Tech House vibe. All that needs to be added is the infamous Ibiza sunset.

2.) For those of you who may confuse the absence of violins with casual sex, Red Sky (No Strings Mix) refers to the former! Nevertheless, this string stripped version retains enough of the original vibe to seduce even the most prudish of clubbers.

3.) The toughest tune on this EP, Bolepa Drive features driving percussion, spacey pads and chords, filtered synths, and a killer bassline. Be sure to be on the dancefloor when this tune hits the decks.

Kerfuffle @ Dex Club, London 23.08.2008

Hot on the heels of the last Dex roadblock, Kerfuffle is back for a bank holiday marathon with what's got to be the most scorchio line up ever. King of US groove Demarkus Lewis, Terry Francis playing funk and disco set and a house/techno set, the Clink's original star Richard Grey and globetrotting whizz kid Tom Gillieron fresh from the Baltics. All playing on a Funktion 1 system that's as crystal clear as the Aegean. Add the sizzle of barbeque sauce, shake in a Mojito from the outdoor cocktail bar, throw in a fluffy towel on a sun lounger then take the splash in the hot tub and you'll agree Brixton's new beachfront beats Bora Bora into a cocked straw hat.

Demarkus Lewis (Nordic Trax, USA)
Terry Francis (Wiggle)
Alison Marks (Dessous, Dogmatik)
Richard Grey (Clink St)
Tom Gillieron (Reverberations)
Kleo (Camden Market's purveyor of fine tunes)
Paul Stubbs (Swag Records)
Mickey Vespre (Always Ultra)

New release by Harold Heath - Evasive Records

With this release, Evasive welcomes three new producers to the roster, all hailing from three different corners of England: Brighton's finest Harold Heath (Lost My Dog/Urbantorque/Plastic City); a new project/alias from Yorkshireman Chris Lyth (Advance/Sensei/Mecanique) namely Jacksonville; and Essex girl-turned south Londoner Kirsten Sees.

A1)
First up is Harold Heath with Bolepa Drive, a tough techy affair with spacey pads, filtered synths, and a killer bassline. Be sure to be on the dancefloor when this tune hits the decks.

B1)
Dazy, the first release on wax for Kirsten Sees, is a punchy minimal groove. With this track Kirsten has drawn from and combined elements from various musical influences, such as House, Techno and Beat Box, and underpinned it all with a menacing bassline.

B2) Jacksonville's Broken Robot is a wicked crossover track encompassing elements from techno, electro and house. It's filthy and phat, and can only be described as a sonic feast, from the pulsating bass to the glitchy synths to the dirty talking robot. Be sure to play this loud at your Grandma's!

Now it's your turn to shake your bootys and dancing close to make this spring really sexy. By what? House music of course, because House Makes Sexy.

New release by Rob Pearson, Robin Ball & Mastiksoul!

Evasive Records' 21st vinyl release features a new collaboration with label honcho Rob Pearson and Robin Ball (Groovepleasure); plus, Portugal's very own House heavyweight Mastiksoul (4Kenzo / Moxi / Kitsam) providing some extra vibes with two new tracks.

A1: Following the success of their previous collaboration, Rob Pearson and Robin Ball hit us with another peak time whammy The Right Vibes. Already causing a storm on dance floors, this track has killer build ups and breaks that will mangle your brain.

B1: Now for some groovy vibes courtesy of Mastiksoul with his first offerings for Evasive: Assen delivers his unmistakable trademark sound with percussive rhythms andquirky fx, interlaced with subtle melodic bleeps and synths, funky filtered guitar riff, and vocal snippets.

B2: If U Don't Have Funk is, as the title suggests, a slightly more funky affair, another dancefloor-filler with plenty of bounce, complete with funky horn stabs, piano riffs, more melodic bleeps and quirky fx.

New release by Rob Pearson,Nathan Coles,Yann Solo & Lunacy Sound Division - Question Mark

Evasive Records proudly brings you their 20th Vinyl Release, with many known talents squeezed on to one 12", bringing together new material from label Boss Rob Pearson, tech house heavyweight Nathan Coles (Fabric/ Wiggle /Is This), Yann Solo (New Era/ 4 Kenzo) as well as the first feature on wax of Cubism's Lunacy Sound Division (Mark Gwinnett) who delivers a slick rework of Question Mark.

A1: Question Mark (original mix by Rob Pearson)
Question Mark, is a low down bass driven workout with twisted dub effects and spacey synths, drifting over electronic rhythms, creating a main room monster, as we would well expect from Rob Pearson!

A2: Question Mark (Lunacy Sound Division mix)
The Lunacy Sound Division mix takes over where the original left off, strips down the groove whilst keeping the essential ingredients, adding an underground electro feel and showcasing Mark Gwinnett's polished production sound.

B1: Question Mark (Nathan Coles: Humpty House)
Don't breathe easy for too long as Nathan Coles wants to take you on a journey to ‘ Humpty's House' where only the headstrong will survive, the infectious bass line works perfectly with tripped out acid lines to build into a peak time floor filler.

B2: Question Mark (Yann Solo: Your Style)
Welcome back Yann Solo to Evasive, the driving percussion on ‘Your Style' works beautifully with his deep, lush soundscapes, an excursion into the future sound of house music.

Topcats - the latest signing on Yellow Tail Records is a mixture of cultures! Check out Dutch born Roland van den Toorn (also releasing under Taboo Rec.) and half Italian Maurizio Schmitz's as they team up for this brilliant release: Esmeralda/Quasimodo EP.

Rob Pearson on Plastic City Album “Imagination of the Shape”

"Imagination of the Shape" draws a new skyline while not abandoning the roots of the city. The tracks this time obviously point towards the future - of course a bright one! The mixture of established artists and newcomers declares that Plastic City has many great names and artists inside the city limits and nevertheless searches for new flavours, techniques, sounds and people...but this time something is really different. All artists mentioned on the double 12inch compilation come up with never seen creations which all have a new flavour and perfectly fit together. "Imagination of the Shape" sounds like science fiction house music - something you never heard before. High quality tech-house touches new spheres and instantly grabs the listeners' attention. Approved artists as Terry Lee Brown Junior, The Timewriter, Greg Parker, Rob Pearson, Colin Dale or Eddie Richards prepared a row of pleasant surprises as they left the old centre of their city. Slightly more minimal but still housey and groovy the tracks are connected to each other as it has always been greatly compiled at Plastic City. There's much consideration behind the artists' works as well as behind this chapter. Imagine the Shape - imagine the future!

A1. Terry Lee Brown Junior - Crosses
A2. Eddie Richards - Droids
B1. Atjazz - Dirty Ride
B2. DJ Yellow - A Beautiful Mind (Gigi Mix)
C1. The Timewriter - Play my Soul
C2. Greg Parker - Next Mute
D1. Gorge & Nick Curly - Donut
D2. Rob Pearson & Colin Dale - Yea But Not But

CD Version mixed by Evil Eddie Richards, unchallenged founder of the past and playful purveyor of the present also available!
